For more than 100 years, Bromberger has been a synonym for innovative packaging solutions, emotive product placements and unusual promotional concepts. Future often has a long history
The fourth generation further develops, what started more than 100 years ago – tradition is a steppingstone to the future, not a soft couch:
1904: foundation as “lithographic art studio Karl Bromberger” in Heidelberg
1907: return of Karl Bromberger to Donaueschingen. In the Friedrich-Ebert-street he produced printing masters made from “Solnhofer shale”.
1909: Josef Raus ist the first apprentice and stays 55 years with the company. Karl Bromberger visits all his customers from Tuttlingen to Trossingen with his bicycle.
1945: After the second world war, the production of cigarette packaging starts again with 6 employees.
1947: “Faller” realises their first house-models out of card board with machines from Bromberger Packungen.
1950: The 2 sons Gerhard and Josef Bromberger (second generation) take over the management and expand with an extended production program.
1973: Hubert and Karl Bromberger (third generation) start to work for the family business. In the following years, they invest heavily into a bigger production plant and new machines.
2005: Christof Bromberger (fourth generation) takes over responsibility. A huge warehouse for finished goods is built and several new machines are bought.
2012: the largest annexe in history is finished thereby creating enough space for growth in the next decade.
2018: two Bobst-Mastercut punch-presses secure the future in our finishing department in terms of quality and speed.
2023: a state-of-the-art printing press from Heidelberg, equipped with all the latest technical refinements, brings our print shop up to the highest technical standard.
Tomorrow is today
Building trust, proving reliability and providing convincing prices are the factors of a real partnership in our eyes. People, not facts and figures are the basis of success: as customers, employees and suppliers. If customers get partners, we have achieved our goal. Basis is an extremely flat hierarchy, as we all have just one boss:

Bromberger Packungen is located on the outskirts of lovely baronial city of Donaueschingen in the middle of the wonderful landscape, where the river Danube originates. You can reach Donaueschingen
– either over the A5 through Freiburg and the romantic “hells valley”
– or via Stuttgart respectively coming from the south over the A81/A864.
